hey everyone i have a 2000 neon and im not sure what size speakers are in it, think they're 6x9's and 6.5's, does anyone know for sure? also, do you have any recommendations on what speakers i should buy? they'll just be getting powered by my head unit (50 x 4 max) I don't really wanna spend more than $100 on each pair...thanks

That has all the measurements for your car. You can look around that site to see if you like anything thy have but I would not order anything from there. They charge waaaaaaay too much for their stuff.
but they are authorized for all their brand and customer service is the best out of all car audio internet sale retailer. sometimes its best just to pay a couple more bucks to get that kinda of service. never know when that warranty might come in handy.

I can stuff with warranties off ebay for half the price. I agree that they know what they are doing, but for people with an empty wallet and ferarri tastes you have to learn to make that doller stretch as far as it will go.

i guess u can say that...

what kind of stuff can you get off ebay with warranty?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I agree, Crutchfield is outrageous when it comes to pricing. I think I've found the speakers I want though, Infinity 693.5l 6 x 9's and Infinity 63.5l 6.5's. Planning on getting them off etronics.com for about $300 total. I know its over my $100 limits but I've decided to get some real good shit

if you're going to buy it, buy it at thezeb. at least you have some kind of warranty with them and their customer service is one of the best!

693.5i =$169.99

63.5i =$129.99

shipping=$6.95

TOTAL=$306.93

about $7 more than the $300 (about) from etronics, but incase you ever blow it, u can get a new one from thezeb.

violator, if you decide to go with some "real good shit," at least get some components for up front. Unless you definitely want Infinity's, I'd suggest a lower model of high-end brands such as CDT, Diamond, Focal, and MB Quart.

Focal makes some truly outstanding products: http://www.woofersetc.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes the 165H (6.5 Polyflex Component Set) goes for $160 here. That's ten bucks less than those Infinity Coaxials and they'll blow them out of the water.

MB Quart RSX 216 (6.5" Comp. Set) for $170: http://www.thebassmechanic.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TBM&Category_Code=MBQ the Infinity's can't even compare to these.

If you really want Infinity's, http://www.ikesound.com has a nice selection of Infinity Components. The Infinity Kappa 60.5cs are a nice set for $170 also. But for that price, I'd rather go with the Focals are one of the other brands instead.

Those are just a couple of the many options for moderately priced componeent sets from really good companies out there. Just search around for low priced component sets from CDT, Focal, DEI, Diamond, and MB Quart. Good luck with whatever you get.

Thanks for all the info! Question, do I need a "kickpanel" if i get a component system? You see, my car already has stock tweeters in the dash, so if i got a component system could i put the tweeters in the dash and the "woofer" where my old 6.5's were?

u may certainly put them in stock location. kickpanels aren't required, but they sure sound nice with components. i myself run CDT audio components and have them in kicks. sounds way better than when i had them in stock location.

well if i dont get kickpanels for them and just put the tweeters in the dash, will they not sound near as good as in kicks? or can i just mount the woofer in the 6.5 slot and then somehow attach the tweeter close to it?
