Singer alt output

99 Tahoe

275 singer alt

3x yellow tops

80 prs

I noticed my voltage has been low from my 80 prs VM, I was driving on the hwy and it was reading as low as 12.0 with all a/c on and no subs/amps on. I took it to the local parts store to have it checked. 13.8 with out load 13.2 with load. I replaced the Belt because I heard belt slippage but haven't seen an increase in voltage. My two rear yellow tops are about 2 months old and the one under the hood is about 1 year old.

What voltage should I be seeing with a singer alt?

Should I check amperage?

I have a SMD VM-1 but has it off because I didn't have the subs in the truck and the speaker wire was loose. The auto parts guy checked it at the front battery. Not sure on the regulator part but it use to give me 14.8 all day long on my SMD VM1.

Should I check the alt with batterys disconnected?

should it be done after you drive and/or play the stereo for a bit..??
i ask cause i think my alt reg is going out.....
best why of checking the voltage, is turn on your lights, ac or heater...

put a load on it then check.

dont really want to play your system when checking your voltage.
