Simple question ..just don't wanna tear anything up

Well I have a DVC 4ohm sub, I wired it to 8ohm, then I bridged the amp. That doesn't come out 4ohm? If not, what does it come out as? And how can I get it to 4ohm?

Like they said before the amp does not change the Ohm level. The Ohm level is ONLY the speaker. You can get either 2 or 8 Ohm out of that speaker. NOTHING different. If your amp is not rated at 2 Ohm bridged them DO NOT do 2 Ohm. At 8 Ohm you are not getting the full punch out of the amp. The the box said 4 Ohm bridged it means do not wire your speakers less than a 4 Ohm load, not that the amp is putting out 4 Ohms.

those are your only choices with only one sub

If this is your amp then you shouldnt push that sub @ 2 ohms. the amp will not like you and it may soon pretend to be a smoke machine.

you can wire the sub at 8ohms (like you said you have it) but you're going to more then likely see half of the power output that the amp promises... at BEST 200wrms.

buy a diff amp or another sub.
