99 S-10 Need Advice

I'm starting from square one. Decided to drop some cash on a good sound system for my truck... couple of problems though. I don't know where to start, there is no room for anything here. Cost not a major issue, but wanna keep it under $1600... I was thinking that I could mount the amp vertically behind the seats, but I am not so sure, any other S10 owners that don't have extended cabs, please feel free to drop some advice, if you can... THE ENTIRE SOUND SYSTEM FROM HEAD UNIT, DOWN TO WIRE KITS.......bucket seats, jack and spare tools behind passenger, & flip back center console

you could do 4 re8's behind the seat and flush it with the seats. might have to move the jack/tools. 4 RE8's will pound.
