i give my dog viatamin E suppliments and that seems to help w/ itching. not sure if its the same problem, but my dog itches due to dry skin.

I had a few people tell me my dog maybe had dry skin, I tried head and shoulders dandruff shampoo and some conditioner with minimal results. I might try some vitamin E if he doesnt get better soon.

you can try salmon oil as well, or fish oil. Both my dogs get it daily and it works wonders for a bright and shiny coat.

regular old Purina Dog Chow in the green bag has a lot of Oil and Garlic in it, so it works well for shiney coats, and seems to keep the fleas away better.

Try an allergy dog food and give your dog a Benadryl every day. No I'm not joking, just regular old Benadryl. Also don't let them have anything other than their own food...nothing.

Ya, and its about the worst food on the market. I wouldnt feed my dogs that if it was the only thing left of dog foods..

not trying to thread jack but 2002xlt: did the donotcall.gov thing go into effect yet? notice any less telemarketers?

Ok, well i have a 10 year old black lab that has been having a major issue w/ scratch, biting and licking for the past two years. We have been to our local vet dozens and dozens of times. He states that its a common problem with labs but i cant stand to see her in pain. She itchs all day almost, barrly gets any sleep because she itchs so bad. She has itched, scratched and chewed atleast 30% of her hair off and has sores from doing so. Any one here ever had this problem? Any vets that could share insite? We have tryed everything it seems and nothing seems to work, or even remotly help.

Then maybe you should do a little research on dog foods, cuz neither of those are "great."

I think it takes a full month to completely take effect, but it seems like they have reduced, i havent gotten any on my cell lately, but the business still receives a few..
