Sickning low-end subs

The thing is, most of those subs mentioned couldn't handle 2 Sundowns strapped at 1 Ohm very well daily, correct? One Sundown at .5 would be plenty for a pair of Avas, IDMax's, or Mags.
He pretty much summed it up. I'm looking for subs a step up from these that can destroy the lows and still be loud, something in the catagory of stage 2s, hd3s, dd9512s, ect. And handle the power, the BLs simply couldn not hande the current flow at .5 ohms.

If you get something like the HD3's, you'll want to consider a new box. I know they like to be tuned higher, like right around 40 Hz. They still hit lows insane at that tuning, from what I've seen and won't have any problems with that kinda power.

I have never tried my HD3s that low, but the AQ 2.5 15 got dumb low tuned at 34hz 3.5 cubes with 1000rms...and a pair of hd3-15s would just be idiotic low and I happen to have a pair of aq hd3-15s for sale and they happen to be brand new.

Why would anyone tune a subwoofer box in a car to 20hz? Can you say way too over exagerrated low end with crappy upper bass response?

28-30hz is as low as you should ever realistically need to tune for SQ (SQL) in an automobile playing music. Dont forget about transfer function guys, it already exagerrates sub 40hz material (in most situations).

You aren't gonna get 'sickening low end' or even very good low end with a 40hz tuning, I dont care what brand name is on the dust cap.
