well the way meade is setting it up for chicken is 1 amp per side. so the subs would be on one channel while the comps on the other channel for LEFT side only. and the other amp would do the same except for the RIGHT side. this way there will be always power going . instead draining the caps quick on a strong bassline

The rims are being changed, the air ride is being rebuilt. Yes the spinners are old and played out, they've been on it since it was new....

Try to get those American bass amp to play your component systems, draw 300 amps of current, and sound as clean as the 15kw.

The Escalade is Chicken's 'hooptie'. He does not care about tearing it up to do this...he bought it new and it's now an older disposable vehicle to him that he really doesn't drive. So he decided that he wanted to do a bunch of BTL's and the 15kw amps.

Before somebody says it the whole point of this is not ground breaking spl numbers...it is to beat the piss out of you when you sit in it, clean, and loud....if you say your 'home boys' crx can do a 160 whatever and 8 18's aren't shit because they only did a 159 (ps it has not been metered yet, doesnt even have a deck or components in it as of yet) then you might want to rethink your situation. The Escalade is being built to play music...very..very loud.

efficiency is the point. while your 3 amps will draw 1600 amps of current these will only draw a combined 600amps. id pick the amp that draws less current if i had the choice/money

Less peak current draw.

The RF amp trades less peak current draw for higher average current draw. This is a completely separate issue from efficiency. The RF amp can draw less peak current yet still have a lower efficiency than a "normal" amplifier.

I don't have the time right now to do any calculations....but I would be surprised if the RF amp actually has any advantages as far as total current consumption is concerned. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually harder on an electrical system than a "normal" amplifier due to it's increased average current draw.

Good point, alot of people around here do that. I guess I think that way because I always made sure the vehicle looked nice and the engine performed well before putting a nice stereo system.
