I currently have an 18" TC Sounds 4HP driver, and am looking for something 'different'. I am a big SPL guy, and was wondering if I should swap up my 4HP for THESE two 12" drivers? I have never used them, maybe someone can shed some light on the SPL side of these 12's. I have 3000w for them, and want to know if I will be happy with their output after having this massive 18...

I am really not sure... I just find something new that catches my eye and I go from there.

Nah you be better off getting som Shocker Sig's to replace ur 18 not the extreme's . Termpro would be a good place to look for them .

Not really looking to spend extra cash right now, that would be at least an extra $300...

I don't know how your's is setup. But 1 should be more then enough for output. I think you've got something messed up. At half volume when I had both of them peole had a hard time sitting in the car and had to get out. That was only half volume.

4 cubes @ 40Hz, 3,000 wRMS, 80 inches of port area... Wheres the problem? Possibley that its in a trunk?...

if your getting the full 3000 watts your giving it more then I could. I had the batteries etc for it just the wrong amp for the ohm load. Do you have any deadner? It should be loud as hell. I had mine in a wall but the wall wasn't done yet, so it wasn't 100% sealed off. So a lot of air was still getting to the trunk etc but it was still way louder then ever needed. I understand I had two but 1 should be plenty for a daily driver.

It is insanely loud man, the loudest I have heard... Which makes me want more, so I think I am going with four 12's....
