Should I trade my DC for a DD?

So I have an ALMOST brand new DC level 3 15" and a Pioneer DEH-4200UB. This kid wants to trade his JVC HU (junk but its temp if I sell mine) Dave the box Guy box & the DD9512d with a g recone. The glue on the dustcap looks pretty bad and it has a small mark in the surround other than that its a new recone... (uses the 6" dustcap too)

So I'm trading my DC 15", my Pioneer DEH4200UB for the box, sub and his JVC is it a good trade he also giving me like 25$ to go meet him? I'm going to be running the DD off a DC1.2K @ 1500-1600rms in the box guy box @ 33hz in my Jeep and eventually get a 2nd one I just want to know if this is worth it.

Or should just stick with my 2 15's? I know he paid $250 for the subwoofer. I just wanna make sure these things are worth the money and im not getting shafted with the D motor and G recone.

Yeah I really love my 15's they net me a 145 @ 33hz... (like zero tuning towards #'s) I'm assuming off a good 2kw and 38hz tuning I could hit a 148. I'm really on the fence about this guys. If it was a FRESH recone with no problems I wouldnt hesistate but I have no clue the background of this subwoofer. Also I'm throwing in 2 Kinetik 1400's on XMAS so that should net me a # or 2.

i assume my 9518 will safely handle 1500w for daily driving, and i'll feed it alot more for burps, but im not positive you will have some overly large output change. I used and abused the Dave The Box Guy box, its very nice, not a big spl box but sounded real real good.

i'm sure with level 4 coils it may be close to what the dd can take. same 3" coils I assume.

Yeah 3" coils but added an extra bigger spider and the coils are a tiny bit bigger than the stock 3's and I also think the magnet might be a Level 4 not sure. Anyways im keeping the 15's the 12" is in rare condition and is hella old so it would be a big risk taking the chance against my new sub. My plan was 4 15's subs and port up think that will get LOUDER than 4 12" DD9512's? off the SAME power?

How much power, 2 DC 1.2k's? That DD was a fresh recone iirc. I would venture out to say the 9512's would be overall louder given they were getting 1200-1500 each but the DC's will probably be louder of less power because they are more efficient in terms of suspension stiffness

with 1200w each you'd be better of having a comparison of the old 35 series which usually get louder up to about that point, but 95's have the ability to get megaloud... four 15's should eek it out, but i'm sure you will run into a power handling limit on those level 3's if you want more out of them. I'm lucky to be sitting on four Rubicon 2500d's and a minimum of four C&D Tech batteries, just trying to get a better sub situation. I don't plan on selling my amplifier though and I love DC... It may be a fresh recone but it doesnt look great at all looks like an amature did it lol. Chances are that DD95 won't see more than 1500watts... and it's going to be a LONG time before im able to buy another. This 1.2K is not even fully powering my subs they call for about 1k a pce... I see the motors are good and worth a lot but I dont want a motor I already have a TC9 with 18" basket waiting to be reconed lol...
