Should I toss 6x9's for a set of 6 1/2 separate's?

first theyre called components. and generally components do sound better than coaxiles. you dont have to go all out though, there are decent component sets out there that sound real good. alot of it is in the install as well. you can buy 1000 $ components and install them poorly and make it sound like poo

if you have a space for 6x9s in the front of the car i would go with a 'good' set of 6x9s = more bass up front.many people will say go with components but those people are the same people that have to upgrade to really expensive components to get bass up front?

It's hard saying, oval speakers have their space in some installs. If your dealing with lower end speakers, where you can get them in 6.5's and 6x9's and don't plan on aiming your tweet, you may be better off with the 6x9 coax vs a 6.5 coax, or even the component in some cases.. It'll be the same general quality of speaker between each model, assuming they use a real cheap crossover (lots of lower end comps do) with the 6x9 having a big displacment advantage. For the relatively low x-xmax your dealing with, the lack of a perfect circle isn't as much of a concern.

Tell sound is round to my L7's Ha! Thanks guys ..Im thinking of going with 2 sets ofPOLK AUDIO DB6750 "COMPONENT's"(not separate's) and a 400 watt RMS amp to push'em along..
You might as well save your money and get just one set. a strong front stage is better than a so-so front/rear.
