should i run at 2 ohm again?

I ran my amps at 2 ohm long ago but now they are old. I was thinking of doing it do you think they will blow up? last time they where at 2 I was seeing 1600-1700 per amp arc2500cxl. says only 4 ohms stable bridged but I am just thinking out loud before I finally buy some subs in a week or so.
