Should I run 0/1 or 4 gauge?

How do you expect us to answer your question without even knowing what kind of power you're running?
roughly 300rms for the subwoofer and about 150x2rms for the components

so figure 600 rms

That's enough to buy a 12 pack of cheap beer, or a 6 pack of good beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
or a 4 pack of even better beer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

also I already have a 4 in there now so I dunno

I just added up the cost of the wiring

figure I need around 25 feet of 1/0 gauge from KnuKonceptz. 20 feet for the car, 3 for ground, just say $80

distribution block $15

ground block $ 18

inline fuse $20

say $5 for terminals

thats already 138 nevermind rca cables

now if I did the same cable and length, but 4 gauge, it would total $32.20 and another $5, I'd be in for $37.20

tough decision lol

edit: if I went with the 0 gauge setup, I wouldn't have to worry about dist block to amp connections since I would already have 4 gauge tere

Alright I thought about this some more

I'm just going to route another run of 4 gauge. Since my sub is relatively small (10") and I know I'm not going any larger, the existing 4 gauge run should be sufficient. Also my components wont be using more than 150-2 rms so a 2nd 4 gauge run should be sufficient with that respect.

Thanks again everyone. I'm just weighing the costs and benefits and those costs are pulling that weight down haha

Im in the same boat, I have 4 gauged installed and im pushing around 750 rms, I;m going to be upgrading to around 1600-1800 rms. Will 0 gauge be good enough, and then split that into 4 for both amps?

0 gauge will be fine for that, as will splitting that to 4 gauge for each amp.
