Should I pick up an HO alt?

I have a Kicker SX1250.1 and a SX600.2, I have not done the big three yet (waiting for spring). When I am running the system I have quite noticable dimming but my voltage off the amps doesn't drop below 13.5 volts. With the system off I usually sit around 14.8 volts. Would it be worthwhile to buy an HO alt or should I wait until I get the big 3 done?

As an extra note I am running the 1250 at 2 ohms right now with plans in the near future I plan on dropping it to one ohm with a new sub.

If you ever plan on going with more power it wouldn't hurt. Your voltage drop isn't too bad so it's kind of your call. Why not do the big 3 now?

Because it's -20 celsius (about -4 F) outside and I don't have a warm place to do it.

honestly sitting @ 13.5 volts i wouldnt waste my money on that.

remember while the big 3 is a good thing, 95% of the time it wont solve any dimming issues unless you got some serious resistance in those wires and their connection points. do it, but dont expect to just have it magically fix everything
