Should I get the same fuse or is it better to get a different amperage?

I have a stinger pro series inline fuse on my stinger 4 gauge power wire. I was runnning a 150a anl fuse to my orion 600d and 10" kicker L5, but it blew. Should I just get another 150a fuse and take the chance of it blowing or should I get a lower amperage or higher amperage. I don't understand the pros and cons of the decision. Help

You should always check to make sure everything is okay. A fuse blows for a reason. Check for shorts, ect.

After you have checked, by a new fuse. You should put in a fuse that is rated at what the wire is rated at. Most wire says the amount of current it will take, and you fuse it at that. If you already are fused at that rating, and your amp is just pulling that much power, then you should upgrade to bigger wire, and then you can (safely) run a bigger fuse.

It's all a saftey concern. Fuses are there to protect the wire from fire and your battery/alt from maximum discharge in case of a short.
