Should I get Memphis ST1500D

I just bought a RD 15" Elite in a sealed box and my current PG v8001 800RMS @ 2 ohm doesn't do this 1500RMS sub justice. So I'm looking to upgrade.

I wanted your opinion on a memphis st1500D being. My question is, is Memphis that great that I should spend almost the same price for a used one however many years old it may be over buying a brand new other brand amp for $50 or so more than the used memphis?

i need 1500@2 as well.

When it comes to amps its better to spend a lil more & get quality.

Besides the quality i believe all the amps that u listed are overrated.

I doubt you will get 1500 with any of them.

All those amps listed are junk! Go with the Memphis amp, as it is a proven, solid performer.

yea all those amps are not really worth the money...I would definately save up and get the Kicker or the Memphis

Thanks for the opinions. That's what I was thinking, I just wanted to make sure before I plopped down almost as much for an entry level new amp as opposed to this many years old high quality used memphis.

Update!

I search for a kicker ZX1500.1 and finding it for $360 new. Do you think I'd be better off buying that new instead of a Memphis ST1500D used at $260?

I love those Memphis amps. When they first came out I wanted one bad but I they were really expensive.

get the orion
