Will I get better sq bypassing my phones dac? I have the mini dsp now so i don't really need the 80prs anymore.

I enjoy having my 80prs ontop of my minidsp for the fact that i can still tune the 16band on the fly without a laptop. Also it bypasses ipod (and maybe phone) dacs when connected through the usb.

Aptx is still bluetooth. Bluetooth is still compression. Though ive heard that newer bluetooth is better, havnt experienced it either way. Keep the 80prs and run a wired connection.

If you use BT for music heavily then yes, it will be an upgrade in sound quality. You have to also use a phone or other media player that supports AptX. Apple does not use the required BT chips to have AptX.

aptx is miles above regular bluetooth

The s6 dac is decent but you need at the least 320kbps regardless. I'm pretty sure the prs80 will sound better via cd..

You use an aux cord [emoji40] run USB at least check your music quality (I never go lower than 240kbps personally) if you can get 320kbps that's preferred since that's cd quality.

Have to try, if not USB drives are cheap you can get 32gb one for $25-$30

Yea it is, but it still sounds terrible compared to a digital connection.

I have AptX on my h/u and an S6.. I still hook up my phone with the wire every time, it's a HUGE difference, even when it comes to streaming music vs. local music.

I have my S6 running via USB on a new Kenwood deck. It was hit and miss with Android 5, but with the 6 update it works every time.
