Should I deaden my trunk?

I found deadening my trunk was the easiest to do, the carpet is easier to remove than a door panel and there is no moisture barrier, etc to deal with like on the doors, it just uses alot more deadener than any othe rpart of the car, but you hav emore space to work in so teh actual job isn't that hard, I'm not sure how much deadener I used but it may have been almost 40 sq' including the lid

Cool I think ill order a roll of that thanks

How do I put that kind on? Is it easy

EDIT: Nvm just read it on their site, this stuff looks wayyyy better then dynamat and a lot easier to put on

Thats not really what I meant. I wasn't asking will deadening the trunk stop the rattle, I know it wil. I was pretty much just wanted to ask if it was easy to put on or not and if a lot of people only deaden their trunk and not the rest of their cars.
No sound deadener does not stop rattling, it minimizes and reduces vibration. Vibrations and rattles are completely different. Rattling occurs when to two solids meet, for example, metal to metal or plastic to plastic or metal to plastic. Vibration occurs when an object moved back and forth, for example, air pressure on metal. For rattles you want to use something such as Rattle Pad, for vibrations, Damplifier (speaking in terms of using Second Skin products).

And yes, deadener will help, but you can't think that 1 layer is enough. You need multiple layers and too much is not even possible unless it restricts the trunk or anything from closing. Realize with liquid deadener you will need numerous coats. 3 layers may be close to being equivalent to a layer of deadener mat.

Very easy...i used Second Skin Damplifier and all I did was cut the shapes I wanted and roll it on with the roller I have. I suggest getting the roller. For the hard to get places, use a screwdriver. You want to make sure it sticks to the metal, so roll the mat on well. I haven't used Raammat, but I used Damplifier and I love it. Some people say or even the tutorials i've seen, showed people using a heat gun but I never used it and honestly didn't need to.
