GM-6000F 4-Channel Amplifier:

My head unit and speakers are in my signature, and I'll soon be installing a Pioneer TS-W305C subwoofer powered by a GM-5000T amplifier. Will buying this 4-channel amp for my speakers make a big difference? One of the main reasons I want to buy an amp for my speakers is for the high-pass filter, but I'm not going to spend the money if I'm not going to get a noticible difference in sound as well. I can get the amp new for less than $150.

May as well stick with a complete Pioneer system, since thats what you seem to prefer. And as Squeak said, it should be a pretty noticable difference running off the amp than the HU.

Yeah, if I do get an amp for my speakers it will definitely be Pioneer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Just curious, whats your obsession with Pioneer?
My cousin had a Pioneer head unit, and everyone said they were good so I bought mine from them. After that I found my 6"x9"s for $20 ($60 regular price, 1/2 price sale and 50% off of that since the box was torn), I wasn't planning on doing a full Pioneer system but I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up, I had heard Pioneer speakers before and really liked them. I fell in love with them, so I bought my TS-A1664's a few days later. It was at that point I figured I'd do my whole system with Pioneer, and I asked about Pioneer subs on these forums to make sure they were good. I narrowed it down to either the TS-W2000SPL or the TS-W305C, and I decided to get the latter since it was cheaper and sounded better IMO. I bought one, and I have it hooked up in my room right now until I get an amp for it, which I'm probably getting from my parents for my birthday in two days. I'll probably also get enough money to buy an amp for my speakers, which is why I made this thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

If it sounds good to you, that's all that matters. I think overall Pioneer is a great company, but they seem to excel in some aspects (HU's, Mobile Video, Navigation), while I think most people would agree, you could probably find better speakers/subs for the same price.

yes you should definatly get it, you can turn it upside down and use it for a sled for your little brothers, those things are FAST!!, JK but i might go for another brand, just cause.
