All depends on what you want and how your going to be powering them.

my friend has 2 12"s and hes runnin off a mtx thunder 81000d and they sounded so good i went out and bought 4 12"s and im just trying to figure out how im gunna power em.

Yea, it all depends on what you want and looking for. I like them. Our kicker has 2 12s, and they hit hard. He has them in a sealed box, and they deliever the bass.

rockford is mainly or all spl. they have little sq. if you want sq with spl, go with 2 12" Polk Momo's.

If I powered the Hx2's to 500 watt RMS each 1000 watts in all would that hit hard and sound good. I am just debating which subs to get.

if its the power hx2s u need to go with at least 1000 for them to hold every bass line if its the punch then 500 watts would sound nice. i have 2 of the powers and i put a 600 jbl on each and it wasnt enough power tohold low bass lins and it over time blow the subs so now i have 1500watts on each 12 in hax2 and it hits lovly now!!!!
