should i buy old school or new school

that looks like a real nice amp, they make a 4 channel too it pushes 4x75 at 4 ohms do u think that would be enough to power 2 sets of focal 165k2p cause i read they are power hungry speakers? or should i buy 2 of those 2 channels to give 150 watts per channel

Most folks keep the stock speakers and run them off the head units power at very low levels. When you run all 4 speakers the rear speakers ruin the true imaging and stereo sound, it takes a few days getting used to it but once you have the fronts done correctly with plenty of power you will never use the rear again. For example I use the fader on my headunit and have it on 14/15 on the fronts with 1/15 power on the rears. You can change out the rears but since you will barely be able to hear them I would leave them stock. Remember that they fewer the speakers you have in a car the easier it is to get good imaging.

it clarity is what you're looking for, there is a 125x4 soundstream mc500 on ebay as we speak. there are some 100x4 mcintoshs amps on there as well that will be in your price range.

Sounds like you are stressing sound quality so whay not drop the 200x4 requirements down to 100x2, buy some top of the line components, and forget the rears. It could be done much cheaper than your original idea and it would sound excellent. If you set that up right you wouldn't be missing your studio monitors on your ride home from work. If you are comfortable with used equipment, go old school all the way.
