with a 600.1 and a single shiva wired in parallel you will get a 4ohm mono load giving you 300watts rms out of your 600.1. i think the biggest reason bootleg is really stressing getting the 1200.1 is b/c at 4 ohm you get 600watts rms and if you add a 2nd shiva you will get 600rms a piece. now if you run 2 shiva's off a 600.1 in a parallel setup that will give you a 2ohm mono load giving you 600watts rms to the pair. i think that explains it rather well i'm not sure why no one straight up said that before but hope that helps ya bro.

Or you can multiply your power needs by four and match up the number on a pyramid that says it puts that number out.

alright shivas are daul 8 ohm coils so it you wired to 4 homs a jbl 1200.1 would do fine. a 600.1 would only give 300rms at 4ohms. go with the 1200.1 and a shiva then save up for a speaker amp later.

wire the subs so you the amp is giving the pair a 2 ohm load, and with that amp, you will be giving them 600 RMS (the pair) and 300 each (this is what their listed RMS, 300 each RMS). Maybe even some more than thatm I hear that they under-rate the JBL amps.

probably from putting a 1200 on a single sub, like many people like to do, and giving them way too much power. thats 600 watts RMS to a 300 RMS sub, not too good!

read bootleg's setup of his system. he's running a 1200.1 to a single shiva and he's been running that setup for many many months now.
