I am going to buy subwoofer, a Shiva and I need to know what would be the best amp, but for the least amount of money that could power this sub to the best of its ability. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ah darn...I dont have enough money to buy a BP1200.1 AND an amp for my speakers also. I've read few posts on this board where people have used a BP600.1 to power one shiva, and they said it worked great, is there anything wrong with this? I am new to car audio.

I have $500 to spend on a new sub, sub amp, speaker amp, and I am interested more in SQ then SPL. Can you guys help me out a little more with this please?

a shiva cant handle a 1200.1......so it doesnt matter if you can afford it or not....jeremy doesnt know anything about car audio he just recomends JL w7 and a 1200.1 all the time cuz he doesn't know anything else. Try the 600.1...you can get it for around $190 i believe.

bumpind 03 is a retard trust me and others on the jbl 1200.1 keep the gain down and you will be fine, but if you get the 600.1 it will **** when later down the road you want to add another shive or somthing. Think of the waste go with the 1200.1

if he was to later add another sub....why not add another amp with it?? why pay for more amp than you will need? Why worry about blowing the sub when you can power it extremely nice for $100 cheaper and a lot less strain on your electrical system (if you have no upgrades). But its up to you...if you plan on adding another sub sometime real soon it might be worth it to get the 1200.1...but i wouldn't recommend going with that much power to that sub.

Ok cool, thanks for the suggestions. RIght now, whether I get the 600.1 or the 1200.1 depends on how much money I have to spend on a 4 channel amp for my speakers

I bought some Infinity Kappa 3-way 6.5"s and 6x9"s for about 150 total off of ebay. I went to the Infinity website and it says 75w RMS for the 6.5s and 110w RMS for the 6x9's. NOw I need to know what will be a good 4 channel amp to power these to the best of their ability ( at this point, I'm not interested in leaving more room in power just in case I upgrade in the future, so an amp that matches the speaker specs is good), but I have no idea about multichannel amps. Thanks everyone for helping me pick a mono block though, I've decided to go with the 600.1 (money). Now help me more with the 4 chan amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, thanks
