The box showed up in great shape. The FedEx guy even offered to bring it in my house for me and refused to take a tip! Only problem was my wife showed up not long after the package so I didn't have a chance to move it. Got some shit about bringing more crap into the house...blah..blah...blah...

Thank you davidfre21 for making this an excellent transaction! According to the FedEx scale that sub and packing materials came out to be 110LBS! I definately feel for you since you dragged that thing all around town not to mention up and down multiple stair cases.

hahaha, i work as a package handler for fedex, and i know if i saw those stick figures drawn on a box i'd laugh so hard

they pt stickers on em that say the weight and all though

but IMO, one should prepare their package to withstand a fall from atleast 3-4 ft. they go through all kindsa conveyors, ramps, etc etcc.... and can't forget about those shitty handlers that don't know how to load; me myself not one of those

word man

if they mess this one up they should owe you double the claim, on top of coming to terms with the fact they hired someone legally retarded for shipping packages

i was affraid that might happen, i guess thats what happens when i use WalMarts keepest scale to weigh something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif lol

actual pics of the packing job would be fabulouso. many people could use the insight, specially MT shippers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

that would be up to box car... But i decribed it to the T in the begining of the thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

For MTs id make a baffle that fits the box perctly, then mount the MT to it. Have a bottom piece of wood with a foam fad for the motor to sit on. then Put like 2x2s or some inbetween the mid and bottom baffles for support. Then id tape foam blocked to the box, but sitting on the mounting ring of the MT. Then put a 3 Baffle on top of those foam blocks. Then double or even tripple box the bish.

So in theory even if the sub is upside down the padding spaces it from moving up and down. And the baffle its mounted to keeps it sitting in the center of the box.

Overkill? Maybe. But the MT should get there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
