Shaving my door handles...need an all in one kit...

Ok, after i get my school check, i'm going to shave my door handles. What i want is an alarm / remote start/ door opener all in one kit. My budget for now is about 300 dollars for the kit. I don't mind splicing wires, but if i could find a plug and play kit, i'd be even happier. I just don't want 2 or 3 remotes on my keychain. I want one kit, one remote. With buttons to open each door, start and kill the motor, and an alarm. I have a 2001 chevy s10 4.3 automatic w/tach.

Cliff notes: i want alarm/remote start/door opener all in one kit. max budget $300. 01 s10 4.3L w/tach.

yeah, no lock. If the door is locked, then what the silinoids pull the opening mechanism, the door still won't open. So locks become useless once door handles are shaved.

you have a welder?

dont cheap out and get some shit from harbor freight

go rent a good mig for a day and practice on some scrap. and whatever you do do not try to weld one bead all the way around your filler plate you will warp the door skin.

do a few tacks either let it cool completely or hit it with a damp rag. keep doing tack welds until you have what looks like a complete weld

yes,i'm a welder, however, i'm getting it done at a shop. I know the guy, so i'm getting a HUGE discount. Paint and all :)

This alarm

So if i get that alarm, can i simply buy the relays and solenoids, and hook each door puller relay up to an aux output on the remote?

This solenoid kit

So connecting THIS alarm with that solenoid kit should give me remote start, and alarmt, and doors that open, right?

Should i get the 15 lb solenoids, or spring 20 bucks more for the 45 lb solenoids?

wouldn't it be smarter to lock your doors though? What if someone hits your car or tries to break the windshield and it isn't armed? If you have a pager alarm then it would be an even bigger waste lol. Good luck with the project though, a friend of mine had shaved handles and it was hella clean!
