Some can be hooked up to a battery backup or something. I thought about doing my car, but I didn't .

Stay away from any alarm that isnt manufactured by DEI, the first one you linked to is a good choice. I have essentially the same kit, but 2-way.

Then all your gonna have to do is wire into the solenoids to activate them with the key pad.
