shallow mount subs?

i have seen a couple brands of these... i have a reg cab s10 and the seat has to be all the way back.. so i was thinkin makin a box for these new shallow subs.. has anyone heard any or have any? and what do they compare to if you do have some?

if you have room for conventional subs yo are better with them. the flat subs are generally more pricey. in most cases they do not sound as good. the fosgate flat subs do not sound good in small boxes. if you put them in larger boxes they sound pretty good. to me the pioneer flat subs sound the best out of the ones i have installed.(fosgate, pioneer, kicker, earthquake)

I have been playing with a new set of re audio shallows, and they are very very solid woofers. they take good power, and have great output.

yes, there has been some much better design come out lately. i have not had the opportunity to try any of new re's, memphis, or si's. t3 also has a new flat sub that look nice

I didn't know your budget, but if you can wait on the Stereo Integrity BM's then those will be the way to go.

And again, don't waste your money on that PA crap.

tis what i was going to suggest.

get the sundowns. much better than pa. i have built a box for the power acoustics. the mounting depth is not much less than some conventional subs & they sound sub par.

ok so i got it down to these two... either the fosgate p3's or then alpine s.

i found a alpine mono amp cheap the mrp- m450... would i want dual 2 or 4 ohm subs with that amp?
