Shallow mount subs for this box?

Were ure old subs regular subs?
If so, do the shallow ones sound better in the smaller space?
one of the subs was a entry line audiobahn dvc, other was the kicker 10 that comes in truck box you can buy at walmart for 138

neither sub could even come close to hitting the lows that 1 sd-2 ten can. they died out round 50hz

my box is sealed .53 per sub after sub displacement is taken out

when I turn up the volume they play 30hz-40hz nice. at low volume it plays 60hz better but I hope that changes with break in

at max volume they play it all, they even try below 20hz. at 20hz my steering wheel shakes some. all in all I am happy with the sundowns and wish I found them sooner. I did not think they could do this well in a half cube of airspace each

if you don't have much room like I did I would say go for these

I was able to fit a 12" Pioneer champion sub (Dual 2 ohm 400 rms / 1200 peak) that requires a 6-1/2" mounting depth in a custom built ported box tuned to 36 hz with around 1.8 cu ft. net behind the seat of a 96 F-250 for one of my buddies - Feeding it 500w rms @ 4 ohms off of an older kenwood amp (VERY budget system LOL) and it sounds pretty fkn good ;-) - It's: 48.5" W x 15.5" H x 8.75" D1 & 5.75" D2 - Port firing out the top pass side.
