Good 10s to get?

So I traded (kinda) my two SA-12xs (d4) with a 1500 watt Hifonics amp for two American Bass TNT 10"s (d4s) with a 1800 watt Audiopipe amp. I wouldn't say it really got any louder or quieter, but the subs get a little hot. I was thinking of getting two Skar VVX 10s (d2s) which I know are similar to the Sundowns or maybe the new Alpine Type-Rs (d2s) that are rated for 1000 each.

Both boxes are very similar, my friend made them both but obviously the 10s box is smaller than the 12s box. My initial tough was I just wanted more trunk space. I want to run dual 2 ohm subs so I can run the amp at half an ohm. I have an Atomic 12 in another car which is dual .75ohm on a 1200 watt Hifonics amp and it's stable so I can only assume half an ohm should be stable on the Audiopipe. In reality it will probably be closer to .8-1ohms.

Any thoughts?

I'd love to but I'd like to keep the price a little lower than that. Plus I would probably have to build another box because those would take up quite a bit more space which would probably tune the box to a higher frequency (if I'm thinking about it correctly).

not really the box should be the same for both subs ,what kind of budget do you have for new subs ?

I was thinking around 300. Which is low but there is a good deal on the VVXs on CACO. I could probably stretch it more if I could get rid of the TNTs.

That ^ is provably as good as your gonna get at that price. Especially new
