U can go with a morel like mine. Mines 2.66" http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=141&products_id=608 Mid range area isn't the best tho.

I have a similar problem and after hearing Rainbows decided that was the way to go. A few guys on the boards sell them and they are very reasonable in cost. There are others to consider and some are known for good midbass (many already posted), but I doubt you will have complaints with a pair of these. They also carry a very nice range for different budgets, but the CMX 165 Kick looks to be a good fit for your application. Oh and the depth is 2.56".

Here is what I've come down to...(I can go with Focal slim mids but I dont think i want to go with that route).

- Hertz Space

- Herts Hi-Energy (mounting depth MAY work)

- DLS Iridium (from 6.2 set)

- Rainbow Vanadium

- Rainbow Profi

Whats the difference between the Vanadium and Profi?

What Morel's have good mid range?

Thoughts? Inputs? Anything?

mach5 mli mids if u need to be on any kind of budget

Thanks Khoa, but I don't mind putting out some money. Only thing I dont like about the Hertz Space is the price...$600 bucks for the mids. The Hi-Energy I can get for 300 for the mids. DLS 6.2 I can get a component set for 350, and the Rainbow's I have no idea.

The morels are good up to about 2k hz. If u have the xover set above that and u play loud u might get slight distortion. I've heard good things about the Dynaudio MW160's

Sucks for most drivers.

The MW162GTs are a little shorter and easier to mount.
