Shallow 6.5" mids

Getting mids in my doors is a tough one. I am looking for some 6.5" mids with a mounting depth of no more than 2.75". Focal and Hertz have a line of speakers that will work, but I'm wondering what else is out there. The less it costs, the better. Originally I planned for some Peerless Exclusive 7" mids, but measurements won't allow me to use those. Can anyone help me out and suggest some mids that can suit my needs? They will be powered by a DLS A4 as well.

The AA poly mids might work, but don't have the specs on hand. Also the Neo magnet is pretty small should help also.

Might be a set for sale soon for around $75 shipped. I'll check with the guy if you're interested.

Orion HCCA 6.2 - best bang for the buck in a shallow speaker. I've seen them listed on Ebay as low as $129.00 - lot of speaker for the money. Definitely a step up from the Focal and CDT slims. Also, if your crossover will allow, you can drop the high pass a little lower than normal, say around 60HZ and get extra midbass out of them. 2.2" depth.

MTX TXC 6.1 is another good one, but not nearly as good a deal as the Orion's.

Cerwin Vega V-Max 65 would be even better than the Orion's for a few dollars more - 2.25" mounting depth.

One thing though... you may already be aware of this... in many installs, you can cut a spacer ring out of MDf to bring any speaker out more to allow extra clearance.

I'm goin for SQ. Only one that interests me are the AA poly mids, but those are too big //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I believe 3" mounting depth.

u should run active w/ that CD7k u have. pick up some seas L18RNX's
Just sold the cd7k last night. Gonna use an alpine w200 with the h701 processor. The Seas you mentioned has a depth of of 3.15". No bueno for me since I can't do more than 2.75".

I just bought these since I just sold my CDT Audio HD62's, I didn't feel like doing any work and they run active so its all good.
They have nice SQ, good midbass.

Their extremely slim but perform like a much larger speaker. I'm running them off my JL Audio 300/2 v2 and they take 150rms a side like a champ.

Ive got bnib Rainbow SL 165's http://www.iqcaraudio.com/rainbow/sound_line_sl/index.htmThey show a 62mm depth which is about 2.44in--not sure if they are what you are looking for, but I would let go for $150 shipped.

Looking for just the mid range. I just can't find a da/mn Rainbow dealer..well online searches are failing me right now and I can't find one.
