setting subsonic filter (yes i searched)

Yes...I searched. At the same time I also got a bunch of mixed results to what the subsonic filter should be set at. Ive heard the same as the box frequency, just below the box frequency, 10hz below, and 70% of the box frequency. So my question is....Which is it? My box is tuned to 37hz. why don't you set it at where it drops below the 3db line...

if you've set it high like that, i'm guessing the sub filter should be set around 30hz...

Not to thread hijack or anything, but do you need to set the SSF if your running a sealed box?

OT... I belive that just to be safe you could set it 5-10hz under your tuning freq. Im goin off of memory from about 2 years ago when I had my ported box. I had mine set at 25hz and my box was tuned to 33.

if its sealed, i don't think you even need the ssf...

like i said, the 3db drop is a good place to put it...otherwise 5-10hz is a good rule too...
