Setting Gains With Dmm

i found a test tone disc. but how do i find what volts to set diff. amps to?? and do i also cut the db gain all the way down on the amp?? .i have kicker 1200.1,kicker 2500, and a hifonics 600watt highs amp. do i turn all the gains down on the crossover??? please help

Turn everything to flat is what is reccommended....but unless you listen to it on Flat i dont see the point...i set it how i like to listen to it that turn the gain up til i get to advised voltage
