Setting gains...BY EAR! zomg!

Hey,

I just got my new amp all wired and running my new sub...problem is I don't have a working DMM to set the gains with right now. I'm going to get one this weekend but I want to be able to bump around until then.

SO I want to know whats a good way to set the gains by ear, or like a general place I could put them at, like half way?

One thing to keep in mind is that my HU only puts out like 1.5V so I'm guessing it'll need to be somewhat high when I measure it out.

Basically I need a quick fix until the weekend.

Sounds good, it's kind of hard because a few other things are rattling and I can't tell if its them or the sub...

setting by the ear is the way to go unless you compete or have multiple amps

or cant tell by the sound when your amp is doing something it shouldnt
