HUH?
he'll be fine as long as he can follow directions, and if not, he dang sure don't need to be messing with a DMM. At least by ear, he can get close to matching his HU outputs to the amp instead of setting it too low and risking clipping his HU outputs or too high and clipping the amplifier outputs.
