Set my gains with no subs?

I was just wondering since I dont get my subs until next week if I could just set the gains on the amp without them. I think I could since you need to disconnect them either way when your setting the gain on the amplifier. Correct me if im wrong.

The only thing you can't determine without subs is the actual impedance in-box.

gains should always be set without the speaker cables plugged, just to be careful.

Sqrt(Power*Resistance) = Voltage

power=rms

resistance= ohm level of speakers

You will need a Digital MultiMeter (DMM), or some other form of AC Voltmeter. Measure AC volts.
