Hey guys,

I was wondering if I should set my amp on high for my 4 car speakers since I have a seperate amp running my woofer.

I figured that the bass from the speakers and that from the woofer would not interfere as much.

What do you guys think, any of you have experience doing this.

I dont like KILLER bass, so consider that my sub will be more modest, maybe it helps with your guys' input.

i think high sounds better because the amp still allows bass frequencies to come through to the main speakers so its still able to hit the mids.

The most people with my situation run high pass setting on amp?

Highpass them. The reason isn't to avoid them "interfering", but rather smaller speakers simply can not handle reproducing bass frequencies very well and they could likely damage the speaker.

well, im running 6x8 speakers, audiobahn AS68Q in the front and polk 60w rms in the back?

Are these considered small speakers?

To add to what you said, at certain frequencies my doors vibrate like crazy, this could possibly alleviate that as well, since there will be less bass frequencies coming from the door speakers.

What do you guys think?

ive put a sheet of dynamat in there, and it hasnt really done too much. It only happens when the song puts out frequencies that are resonant frequencies of the metal in the doors, i think only a complete dynamat job could fix that, not just a sheet or two.
