Dont replace the tensioner, it is doing its job.ha! well anyways is there a place where i can get oem tensioners?
The problem is that you are running a smaller pulley on your alternator which is where you are loosing your tension. Find a slightly shorter belt that will fit and be done with it.
If you put a brand new tensioner on it the same thing will happen.
Ive had a similar issue with my car, but only on hard shifts. Its due to running the smaller alt pulley, as I have swapped it out with the OEM size and the problem has gone away.
What I have been thinking about doing is getting a set of underdrive pulleys and replacing one of the other pulleys down the line to account for the alt pulley so I can run the same size belt. Ill bet you if you swap your OEM pulley on the alt it will solve the slippage issue, but then the alt isnt going to produce as much power since it will be spinning slower.
