serpentine belt tensioner

if it is older it maybe weak but if you toss a new one on I have never seen any other but a stock or direct replacement never a "stronger" one. but remember if you make that overtightened you can hurt stuff and wear out bearings faster on stuff. there should be a could marks on it and they give you the range the position the arm should be in under tension.

If you have a bunch of slack , How can you not get 1/2 shorter belt on?

Bring it too a mechanic if ya cant....i can almost promise you its not the tensioner....Unless you are putting it on wrong.

2008 you are right should be fine get the right size belt or make it fit and it will be all better.

haha...i was nervous too when i brought mine in for a rough idle....had a odyessy batt in a cutup batt tray , etc.

But they didnt even say anything.

I guess its up to the person you give it too at the time you bring it in, too look the other way or be an ***

yeah if they look the other way, they still get the money.... just from warranty. But he just called me saying it may not be covered by warranty if they feel that its my falt for having a system.... gay

you should tell them if you knew the warranty was void before hand you would not of taken it in to them to look at it for 200 dollars...i would not be paying it. that is some bull shit. or take the system out and go to a different dealer.
