Serious Set-Up Issues

Hi,

I have just wired up my sub and amp and every time I reconnect my cars battery the amp instantly blows it fuse, I have tried disconnecting everything other than the +12v and the ground wires but it still instantly blows.

Can any one help me with this????

The tech specs:

Legacy 600w 2 Channel Bridgeable MOSFET (LA460)

1x 1200w 12" Sub

1000w cable kit (10 Gauge power cable + 10 Gauge ground cable)

30A fuse @ battery + 15A fuse on amp

P.S I have tried 20A and 25A fuses in the amp with no success

remove fuse from power wire hook up wire then slide fuse into the wire

ps do not change fuses in the amp leave it the original size

Perhaps you have the POS/NEG backwards on the amp as fuses don't blow for no reason. Otherwise verify that your power wire isn't shorted out somewhere and touching bare metal.
