Running a JL cleansweap and summing unit with 600 watt 4 channel amp, 4 5-1/4 4 ohm door speakers.
Would like to add four more speakers ( any size 4ohm ) to the rear deck of my car. Can i wire two of the four channels in a Series/Parallel fashion with four speakers per channel ( keeping 4 ohm load ) and the remaining two channels having one speaker per channel in the front? Or would that be too much strain on my amp?
idea shown : Series Vs. Parallel Wiring
under Series/Parallel section.
Equipment:
Cadillac CTS
JL Cleansweap + summing unit + Sub Control
Orion Cobalt CO6004
Alpine SPS-500 x4
Some old ppi's and 750w kenwood amp
Thanks!
Any advice on how to add more speakers a different way is welcome.
