I am thinking of redoing both of them...I dont know...
Doug and I are reconing as soon as I get off work ~2pm.

Tomorrow I build a ported box for the RL-i8.

You available today or tomorrow?
if all goes as planned i am not working today.

i will know for sure in a couple hours

where are you doing the reconing?

i have a few things that i need to give doug so that would work out well.

His house.

If you want to ride instead of drive, you can just meet me at my house. Its up to you.

Brian, I doubt he would care if you came also...

get some of the clearcoat in a can, clear it. take 1000, then 1500 over the whole thing. wont take the paint off but itll take the pinholes out, buff it, polish it. we do that everytime we have dirt nibs or runs in a car after we paint it. comes out looking like a mirror
That sounds good but that is now what i am trying to get away from (the shiny finish)

i would like to find some texture spray paint to make it blend in a little better with the other panels.

Nice work Joseph.

I need to go to the shack and pick up some more connectors, but I'll be ready after that. anyone is welcome to come by. I need to leave by 6pm or get a better offer than dinner with the wife.

I will throw out a better offer...drinks on me? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I will be on my way as soon as the boss man says its ok to go. I got to go home to get the air compressor too.

then just use the 1000 and 1500 to get the nibs out..youll be good:)
well i think they are deeper than just pin holes in the paint actually.

i think they are spots that didnt get enough filler when i started.

but i apreciate the advice wither way.

No clue lawl. Still sitting here bored, waiting on to ok to go. I will PM you when I am allowed to go. If you go at the same time we should be at my house ~ the same time.
sounds good, since we are gonna have to leave dougs at ~6 do you want to work on your stuff when we get back to your house or do you have plans already?

Nice work!

I also have a B15 Sentra and JUST did my initial install Wednesday. I had a terrible time getting the HU to fit correctly without a gap at the top or the faceplate rubbing on the trim ring.

Which brand is your trim ring?

Did you modify it OR the mounting hardware behind it to make the unit face fit better with the trim ring?

Would you be opposed to me copying your pictural and posting it on some of my B15 sites, just to help other B15 owners?

I have no plans until Tuesday when I go back to work. Steven wanted to build on saturday, that is really my only plans...they arent even set either.

i got it from parts express and i believe it was the metra kit.

but i never really had any problems with it not lining up with the radio.

and i didnt modify anything, i just bolted in the radio to the metal bracket that goes in the dash and snapped together the trim piece with the lower trim piece.

it all fit pretty well the first time.

and i have already posted this on b15sentra.net, where else would you post it at?

i dont have a membership on the Vboard or i would have posted it there too.
