Senate passes 800 billion dollar stimulus without 1 member readind the actual bill!!!

I could care less if the idiotic republicians didnt vote, or how its done. I just pray this stimulus kicks into gear and actually creates job and doesnt just 'give' out free money that everyone seems to be expecting. Its simple, to stimulate an economy you need jobs, plain and simple. America needs to self sestained. Burn our own coal, create high speed rail, invest in renewable energy....the list goes on and on. I just puzzles me that people believe that the 'old' way of doing things would continue to work. Give company tax cuts for staying in the states, create new jobs by doing something new (high speed rail, renewable energy), and make some plus about going to school other than years in debt. Also I think no one could argue about the new president rather obama or Mccain until their first year is up.

I thought they were working on some sort of provision that would permit companies to bring off-shore assets into the country at a low taxation rate for a short window of time. Has anyone heard anything about this recently?

it is amazing how disconnected the american public really is!
these guys are not even war criminals, simply by the dumb *** fact that they don't wear uniforms! they don't fall under the Geneva Convention, for that simple reason, much less all the other crap they carry on with!
Are you honestly that daft? THEY don't abide by it, but we sure as hell have to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It doesn't surprise me that they didn't read it. Most of them just want the angry calls from John Q. Public to stop. I'd be much, much more happy with them if they'd take care of the working class and getting rid of all of the 2nd/3rd/4th generation welfare retards that shouldn't be on it to begin with, hell, I wouldn't even care if they made them work community service for it (which is how it should be to begin with).

On Monday morning's Today Show, Ann Curry's interview with the former president - recorded over the weekend outside a Clinton Global Initiative event in Texas - addressed Clinton's inclusion on TIME's list of the "25 People to Blame" for the global economic collapse. "Oh no," he responded, "My question to them is: Do any of them seriously believe if I had been president, and my economic team had been in place the last eight years, that this would be happening today? I think they know the answer to that: No."

The man is a pimp among pimps. Scores strange in the whitehouse knowing his wife won't do anything about it because she needs him for her own political career.

His genius is finding the ugliest girl within 50 miles of the whitehouse. If the girl had been attractive, I think there would have been more blowback.
