And I thought ordering pizza online was cool

It's very cool, but I'd be hesitant with custom machined parts since they have to be so close on the tolerance. I'd want to see it and hold it before paying for it. Doubt that'll work well there.

would love to have access like that
Yeah except he is unemployed as of last Thursday. But the shop said to leave his tools so they will probably call him back when they get work.

At least this way he can work on programming all the parts I need and just run em when they call him back haha

i have used this site last year a lot, you send in a design they make it and ship, very good for people who need custom parts to fit their needs, they are the only real sort of company that does this, so they put a hefty price on everything.. thats the only downside, but its precision custom work..

A+

If the part is drawn to exact specification then there's nothing to worry about. Even if it is a +/- .003 tolerance, the machinist/machine will replicate the part drawn in CAD to exact specs.

I've always been afraid to mount a heavy woofer upside down or in a wall for anything close to a daily ride for fear of it breaking loose from the box (screws snapping or just pulling out). Had thoughts of a metal ring mounted inside the box with bolts going through it and the mdf to the outside of the box to mount the woofer. Would make installing the woofer itself easier too, could basically hang it on the bolts and just run some nuts up.

Always wanted to try that, but didn't feel like trying to cleanly cut out the metal rings, most basic use of their service but might have them cut some rings for me and try that out

Why not use your router? Just get a small sheet of .125" - .25" T6061 aluminum and a good carbide bit.. You can use a jasper jig to make the circles perfect, and drill the holes for the screws //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
