yep its that time for an upgrade.... selling the type Rs that have been GREAT subs for the last year.... selling them to some kid in town here and im gonna use that money to get my long awaited RLP 12's..... but will i notice a big difference between the two? i mean i love the type rs... liked how they sounded... but i wanted to know (in an optimal ported enclosure, are the rlps gonna be better in both terms of SQ and SPL? i just want to be impressed again... before i drop 500 bucks in subs i want to know if i can count on being happy... ive never actually listened to an rlp myself but i was kinda curious what everyone thot of them...

muahahaha idk man, i love the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif im sure u'd love it too if u had it though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif just be sure u have the electrical system to back it up lawl

but yea, well have to meet up and hear each others systems lol

how much power do yall suggest for these bad boys...? i hear of some people runnin em at 1000w all day.... and then there are also people that feed them 450w and are happy with the output...

like 1000~1500w daily in the right box

not sure about the box size and tuning, email mike@soundsplinter.com about that. im sure he knows whats best.

R's can hit high high numbers in the right box, so you might not see the same SPL as you did with the R's, but the rlps will definatly sound a lot nicer if they are anywhere near what ive read about them.

i already talked to mike not too long ago.. he told me that anywhere from 1.5 to 2.2 cubes tuned at 29-32 would be real nice.... im gonna go as big as i can so i can get that low end....
