Seeking Subwoofer: 1 or 2 12" Drivers, 500w RMS @ 2 ohms, Under $200 total

The title pretty much says it all. I'm hoping for a 20hz-300hz response range, as I don't have the greatest midstage but I like my drums. I only have 500w @ 2ohms RMS, so efficient subs would be nice. I am willing to use one or two 12's, I can build the box to accomodate them. I don't want to spend more than $150 for one sub, or $200 for two.

My install is going into the trunk of a sedan, and I will start with a sealed box, as I am growing older and I enjoy SQ more than SPL. I listen to rock, jazz, and rap, so the subs need to have a quick transient response.

if i were you, i would try the tc sounds db500, or for efficiency, you could get two infinity perfects. With whatever you get, you won't want to cross it over much higher than 80-100hz. Subs sound terrible past that range. You would be better off using your money getting one sub and some proper midbass speakers and doing it right.
