Thats why I said, Id rather not get myself into a contract that isnt necessary. If shit goes wrong, that contract is 1 sided and the b!tch gets half your shit & then some.

It isn't nearly always the case that the ***** gets everything. just because there are laws stating something, doesn't mean it happens. It means the laws were setup in a different time period when women were subordinates. My wife is a paralegal for a successful family law attorney. Most everything is split to a near 50/50 as far as assets, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Do unjust cases happen? of course and they happen on both sides of the fence. Do you think a woman shouldn't get half? She doesn't contribute at all in the marriage? If she truly doesn't then blame yourself for picking the wrong woman. I am against people "jumping" into marriage just because they think they have to or for tradition, but not against the whole idea of mariage. It took me 7 yrs to propose and thats the way it should be.

I know many cases where the house goes to the wife but she gets a reduction in child support or pays for her half of the home. It all depends on the negotiations. In the end IMO neither the wife nor the husband win. It's the friggin lawyers who make out like bandits!
