Second Battery

At what point would you reccomend, and how do you install a 2nd battery? Is it simply wired parallel to the first, or is there more to it?

They only reason I can realistically see using a second battery is for running the stereo with the car off.. In which case wiring the battery in parallel would draw off both batteries so when they die you are screwed.. If you wish to go that route use a battery isolater that ay the batter can be charged by the alt but won't drain the primary battery.
