I couldn't agree more, I've been incredibly pleased with this sub. RE made a solid product and I was fully stoked on it. Bummed that it popped, but that was totally my bad. Just wanted a little more bass. Just a little. But isn't that always how it works?

And yes, I was all set to pony up for a DVC 12" SXX (1k RMS) perfect, right? Nope... was pretty easy to find comments that RE had shifted towards trying to sell more less quality stuff. Finding this out was almost more disappointing than nuking my sub.

Appreciate the suggestions man, I will start researching.

My immediate thought was an IDMAX12 V.3 D4. Granted the AQ only moves 870X1 @ 2ohm which is a bit shy of the IDQ's 1k RMS. But was under the impression this would be fine.

idmax is a great idea. the SI magnum is also a great woofer. If you want something that's tight, accurate, and smooth, those two are on the short list.
