Sealed vs. Ported

I'd do the 15 Oz ME sealed for good SQL. Immacomputer is right, the MEs CAN work ported, but they just sound soooo much better in big sealed boxes where they can drop low and show you just how bass is supposed to sound. Ported you are just gonna lose all that tonal goodness that makes the Oz so special.

ok so an ME sealed in 3 cubes after sub displacement should do the trick huh. Would the ME be able to handle 1000wrms daily in 3cubes and have the ability to get nice and loud while sounding good...would 800w suffice? Would the extra 200w be much of a difference?

It wouldn't be much of a difference, but the ME will definately be able to handle it. They take quite a bit of power depending on the enclosure to reach full excursion because they have a somewhat high Qts. The bigger the sealed box you can give the sub, the more it will do for you. I have zero doubt that it will sound nice to you, but I don't know what your idea of loud is. To me, its hard to make a 15 not loud.

my idea of loud or low would be being able to feel the shirt on my back move alittle while in the driver seat and feel a good amount of pressure in my ear when its turned up...if u know what i mean. Well thats what i call loud enough for a daily driver anyway.
