Sealed to Ported

So I have a sealed box with 2.7 cubic feet of volume.

I want to port it, so I bought 2'' diameter pvc.

I just want to now how long it should be if I want to tune it to 34hz.

Your port area with the 2" PVC is only 6"

What size sub are you running?

I would take them back and buy like ( 2 ) 4" PVC's which will give you the port area of 25....

id probably just cover the sub holes and make a new baffle using a single sub in the box

Area isn't decided by the length of the ports but by how many you use. Area is the cross sectional area of the port opening in 2 dimensions. Think of it as the face of the port with no depth at all.

If you're going to use 2" diameter ports, you will need to use about 8 of them. Basically.. go buy some 4" PVC pipe.

dude thats bearly enough air space for 1 of those 12s ported

but 2 of them will sound like crap ported.

it will be louder sealed for those 2.
